After leaving the Amman Airport early in the morning, we went to Madaba visiting the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church. The church is famous for the mosaic floor showing partial map of ancient Israel.

The Greek at top (Αγιος Γεωργιος/Agios Georgios) is Saint George.
The Greek at the bottom (Μηδαβα/Medaba) is Madaba.

This is the layout of the mosaic map on the floor. 

You may easily locate the River Jordan and the Dead Sea.
